Re: Neighbourhood Notification Regarding Southern Highlands
Regional Shooting Complex Inc. application to modify development
consent No. 6100-4. -407/86.
I support
the proposed amendment by the Southern Highlands Regional Shooting
Complex Inc of clause 4 of the 1986 consent.
I am of
the opinion that the amendment will make no significant impact on the
use of the roads or an increase in numbers of registered shooters.
I believe
that the Hill Top Resident’s Action Group (HTRAG) has produced
a form letter detailing objections to the proposed amendment.
However, it is obvious that many of the objections raised are just
not relevant to the amendment.
I wish to state that HTRAG is using this as an opportunity to try and misinform the administration and Councilors of the Wingecarribee Shire.
Specifically HTRAG require that Council undertake further work and expense on matters not relevant to the application for amendment.
The 11 demands by the HTRAG are already part of the environmental assessment mentioned in the project application (available from the NSW Department of Planning) – SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS REGIONAL SHOOTING FACILITY - ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT REQUIREMENTS UNDER PART 3A OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNING AND ASSESSMENT ACT 1979
